7 weeks!
So we had our quick check appointment on Monday and I found out that I am further along then I had thought! I was using the wrong day to start calculating! According to our OB we are 7 weeks today. This makes me feel a little better knowing I'm further along and the baby is still hanging on. I was sent for bloodwork to check my hgc levels to see if they were high enough to get my first ultrasound and also to check my progesterone levels to see if I might need to add them into my routine. I will be calling tomorrow to see if the results are in! My first prenatal appointment is scheduled for Feb 3 that's my long appointment of bloodwork, etc..
The one thing I am noticing is that I feel extremely run down and that I have no control over my hormones. My emotions are everywhere. I'm not really experiencing any ms and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I don't! If I have to be tired all the time I'll take it as long as I don't have to deal with that craziness!
Continuing to pray for baby Hainsey to make a healthy entrance into this world in 33 more weeks...

Rough and Dirty
Laced up my cleats for the first time and quite possibly the last time of 2014... I entered our R&D girls in the Icebreaker tournament which is an indoor tournament at a local place called Maple Zone. This is the 2nd year our girls have played in this and the 2nd year we came in 2nd place. Tonight we played 4 games back to back without a break. I will admit I was nervous as all hell since we only had 9 girls and that meant I had to play the whole time. I've been doing everything I could for the last 6 weeks to not mess this pregnancy up so tonight was weighing heavily on my mind. I'm an outfielder so I at least had some distance between me and the batter. I definitely wasn't on my "A" game but I hit really well and didn't screw up too bad in the field. I took it easy running and tried to avoid all contact/sliding. My stomach was off but that started when I got up from the couch so I'm thinking I might have pulled something.. So far, so good on the pregnancy front. Mommy definitely has a trooper in there! I will keep saying my prayers and asking God to watch over us. At this point that's really all I can do.
6 weeks tomorrow... Let's do this!

Further then last time...
I'm 5 and a half weeks pregnant today (38 days) which is just past where I was in my last pregnancy when we found out the pregnancy wasn't viable. I have yet to really experience any early pregnancy symptoms. The absence of symptoms worries me at times.. I keep thinking that no symptoms must mean the baby isn't growing. I know that not all women experience symptoms and that it doesn't mean anything is wrong but it's hard.
My first "quick check" appointment is scheduled for Monday afternoon. I can't wait for them to tell me what I already know. Honestly, until I have an ultrasound and see that everything is progressing normally I am going to continue to worry about losing this child. Even after the ultrasound I'm going to continue to worry. I have been trying to keep positive and not think about everything but it's challenging. I'm hoping that after the doctors appointment on Monday my mind can be put at ease a little and I can start enjoying the fact that I am actually pregnant and that Jon and I will be bringing a tiny life into this world at the end of the summer.
I'm totally excited, don't get me wrong. I've come to accept the fact that I will not be playing softball this summer.. There's always fall ball, right? :) Jon plans to drink enough for the both of us on our honeymoon in April, so we have that covered. I am excited for maternity clothes and an adorable baby bump. Hoping I won't blow up like a balloon with a ton of extra weight! I can't wait to pick out stuff for the nursery and register.
Two of my close friends are pregnant and are expecting in July - so I'm happy that our baby will hopefully have some playmates around the same age :) There are so many things to look forward to. So many people have lost a child and have gone on to have a completely healthy baby and normal pregnancy. I know that I can too. My goal is just to remain positive and to try not to worry about things that I have no control over. This is easier said then done of course.

4.7
Here we are almost 5 weeks along and last night I experienced some mild cramping. Of course the first thing that goes through my mind is that I'm having another MC or I guess at that stage it's considered a chemical pregnancy. Thankfully I was able to get to sleep and had no spotting or bleeding. Talk about being in tune with your body. Every little feeling scares me. I'm not sure how I'm going to get through this first trimester but I'm praying every day that this baby is healthy and that I am able to carry to term and have a successful delivery. I try to keep reminding myself that I am realitively healthy and that MCs are common but multiple ones aren't (unless there are underlying causes). Positive thoughts and a lot of support are what I most need now. I have 7 more weeks to go before I'm even out of the riskiest period of pregnancy. I'm honestly not sure what I will do if I lose another baby but my guess is I won't try again for a long time.
So for anyone who reads this blog please continue to send us positive thoughts and prayers and continue to be supportive of my roller coaster of a journey. It means the world to me!
